Stearic acid has wonderful emolient properties to keep the skin soft and moist while locking in hydration when used in creams and lotions.  When used in emulsions stearic acid stabilizes and thickens effectively creating a rich creamy texture.

In cold and hot process soap recipes, Stearic Acid will  make the end product harder. 
When used in candles this product is often call Stearin, but is the same product.  It creates a harder wax with a slower burn and greater opacity, lengthening burn time.
**Our stearic acid is made from is RSPO certified palm oil.
