Titanium Dioxide

Titanium Dioxide

Titanium Dioxide is a prolific ingredient, appearing in sunscreens, makeup, toothpaste and even food. This stunningly white pigment can be used as an opacifier, making your products whiter and making colours bolder. Heirloom titanium dioxide is an uncoated anastase titanium dioxide pigment with high whiteness and blue undertone. From a chemical and microbiological point of view, it is exceptionally pure. For best results, mix with water or glycerine prior to addition to soap.

Use in candles may lead to clogging of the wick and poor burn results. Feel free, however, to use as an overdip for freestanding candles, or in carved candles that do not get much burn time.
