Candle Making - Introduction Class
You’ll be delighted at just how easy it is to make a variety of beautiful fragrant candles to adorn or diffuse scent throughout your home. You may just want to give them as beautiful handmade gifts, or sell at the local markets or through retail outlets.
You’ll learn to make beautiful rolled beeswax candles, scented soy wax candles, fragrant soy melts for oil burners, fragrant Feather candles and learn the theory & practical steps to make great candles every time. The beautiful candles you make through the day are yours to take home, and you will possess the skills and confidence to continue the inspiring and easy craft of candle making.
Duration: 5 hours Arrive 9:30 to start at 10am - 3:30pm
morning tea and afternoon tea provided. Please advise of any dietary
requirements when you book your place.
This hands-on course will give you valuable insights on:
Types of moulds available (container & Pillar)
Types of wax available (You’ll
work with a few types to see which you prefer).
Which type & size of wick to use is a vital factor for successful candles. You’ll learn how to work this out for any size container. You’ll also learn about double wicking and how important temperature of wax is.
Colours, Dyes and additives
Equipment and tools of the trade
Fragrances to use in candle making and melts
Business Basics such as proper labelling, safety considerations etc.
You’ll make beautiful scented soy candle, rolled beeswax candle, fragrant soy melts for oil burners, fragrant Feathered Pillar candles, and most of all, the techniques and knowledge to ensure great candles. And you’ll be able to purchase all the tools and materials at a discounted price on the day of the workshop from Heirloom Body Care.
Should you need to cancel your class please let us know as soon as this information is available. We are happy for you to send another person in your stead, or to transfer your booking to another time slot. We do not, however offer a refund if you are unable to attend.
Should we need to cancel your class we will let you know as soon as this information comes to hand. We reserve the right to supply another teacher for your class should Andrew be unwell, to allow your class to proceed with minimal interruption. If circumstances cannot be worked with we will provide another date for your class if you wish, or a full refund of your course costs if you prefer. We are unable to refund any transport or accommodation costs you may have incurred. That said, we would do our utmost to ensure all courses proceed as planned where there is any possibility to do so.
This class is to be held in our upstairs teaching facility at Unit 9, 28 Coombes Drive Penrith. Class sizes are restricted to 10 people so please do not delay booking your place
