Valentine's Day!

Valentine's day is officially 2 weeks away and is a busy time for body care retailers. The options are endless to create a beautiful Valentines range that encompass all that the special day is about. To help you with this, we have put together some simple recipes that you can either add to your collection to sell, or make for that special someone.
Quick and Simple Recipe Ideas

Love Spell Bath Salts
This adorable heart jar makes the perfect container for your luxurious bath salts.

 

 

Ingredients: 
Heart Jar
Method: 
1. Mix the salts together and place in a ziplock bag
2. Add fragrance and rub into the salts
3. Separate into 3 batches and add desired colour in each batch
4. Layer in desired design in the heart jar and place lid on top
 
 

Classic Rose Soap
If you're pressed for time and simply want to melt, mix and pour - this soap is a classic for any romance collection.Ingredients:
Silicon Rose Mould
90 g Goats Milk Melt and Pour Soap Base
9 ml Rose Petal Fragrance 
Pink Party Mica

Method:
1. Cut the soap base into cubes and microwave in 30 second bursts until melted.
2. Add in desired colour and stir well
3. Allow soap to cool slightly and add fragrance.  Stir well
4. Pour into mould and spritz with isopropyl alcohol to remove any bubbles
5. Allow to set completely before unmoulding.
6.Wrap in shrink or cling film.
 

Mix and Match Heart Melts
It is always fun designing your own fragrance blends, and what better way than creating 2 heart melts and using them together!
Ingredients:
Heart Embed Mould 12 Cavity
170 g Tart Wax
9 ml Strawberry Fragrance Oil
9 ml Vanilla Fragrance Oil
Purple Candle Colour
Primary Red Candle Colour

Method:
1. Add wax into a microwave safe container and microwave in bursts of 30 seconds until fully melted
2. Separate out approx 85g wax into another container.
3. Add desired amount of one colour into one container, and add one of the fragrance oils in. Stir well. Repeat for other colour and fragrance. 
Note: I used Purple colour and Vanilla fragrance in one container. Red colour mixed with  Strawberry fragrance in the other.
4. Pour at 65 degrees into the heart mould, using 6 cavities for each of the colours. Allow to set.  
5. Melt in the same burner to mix the fragrances, and enjoy!.
