Melt and pour soaps are often referred to as glycerine soaps due to their addition of glycerin to the recipe.
Additional butters may be added to melt and pour bases if desired (1 teaspoon per kilo of soap base works well). Adding 0.1% - 0.5% rosemary antioxidant or Vitamin E reduces the possibility of butters going rancid if added to the melted butters before mixing with the soap base.
