Melt and pour soap making is a craft that allows your creativity to run wild. Not only are you able to create works of art within your soaps, but you can add wonderful oils, butters and botanicals to make your skin feel very spoiled, as well as embeds to add interest and beauty.
Soap making is a time honoured occupation that goes back centuries. Techniques have changed a lot since the original methods, but the basics are the same – the combining of fats, oils and a caustic medium in the presence of water.
These wheat pillows are excellent little items to have at home for those times of discomfort. Make a couple so one can be in the freezer (for bruises and general accidents) and one ready for heating (for tired, sore muscles).
Making gel candles can be a lot of fun, but I warn you….it is very addictive. The variety of candles that can be made from a few basic ingredients is staggering. You will never be satisfied until you have at least a couple mastered.
